Well, i have been thinking a lot lately that I need to improve my outlook on life, and be the best I can be, and achieve the most i can achieve. I am following Bo Bennett's book, "Year to Success" day by day, as well as reading other inspiring books, and here is where i will go about talking about them. In the book, it takes you day by day, for 366 days, inspiring and motivating you to live your dreams, and that nothing is unattainable. I have never been a reader, but now is the time. I am in college, and its now or never. This is the start of my life. This is the time of my life. And this next year, will not only be my year to success, but the start of my Years of Success.

(and day 6&7 of the weeks are reflection times, so dont think i am not posting things)

Day 12, The Power Of Choice

It is only when you exercise your right to choose that you can also exercise your right to change.

Unknown

As we go through life, the majority of how our life goes is not by chance. Yes, some of it is by chance, but almost all of it is by choice. Whether it be your choice, or someone else's choice that affected you, it was by choice none the less. I have decided, that where i am today, was my choice. My entire life, I have made choices so that i could be where I am. I am in college. How did i get here? By choosing to do good in high school, take tests, and make the leap of faith in getting a higher education. You can literally dissect every part of your life, and when looking in depth at it, it was by some choice at some time somewhere, that it is the way that it is.
"Life is like a box of chocolates." But it is which one you choose to eat that determines if you like chocolates.
When you find yourself saying "i have to," like i have to go to work, or i have to go to school, your really saying I choose to. I am choosing to go to school, to church, to sleep in, what ever it may be, you are making a choice. So from now on, I am going to look at what i am saying, and when i find myself saying things like, "i have to go to work," i am going to re-phrase it and say, "i am choosing to go to work, because work equals money, and money equals paying bills, and paying bills equals a happy jake."
